Gideon Media Arts Conference
http://www.gideonfilmfestival.com/
Saturday, June 5, 2010
Led by John Jackman with DP Arledge Armenaki. An introduction to special FX using compositing and green screen technology. What software to use for all budgets, what to watch out for, how to plan, light, and execute green screen FX so they seem real. We'll include actual examples from the production of John Jackman's Wesley, ranging from basic removal of objects (telephone poles, cars in background) to advanced motion tracking matte FX. Beginners will learn how the process works and how to avoid the "newby mistakes" while more advanced producers will learn how to move to the next level and create more refined FX.
John's standard workshops include:
- Introduction to Lighting
- Advanced Lighting
- Intro to DV/HDV Production
- Digital Filmmaking
- Achieving the Film Look
- Indie Film Financing
- Blue Screen Lighting & Compositing
- Planning for Film Out from HDV
John's schedule is very limited at this time due to existing obligations, workshops need to be scheduled well in advance.
